Employing psychodramatic techniques in therapeutic work with children

The Hellenic Institute of Communication and Human Relations organizes a workshop with Dr. Kate Kirk, psychodramatist and trainer, chair person of the British Psychodrama Association.

Dr. Kate Kirk lives and works in the Isle of Man, United Kingdom. She works with children aged 4 to 16 with a wide variety of problems: emotional and behavioural difficulties, bereavement, physical and emotional abuse, eating disorders, ADHD, ASC, Conduct Disorders, life limiting and threatening illness etc. Her work with children has brought her into contact with child protection agencies and working children who are looked after by non-family members. She was editor of the British Journal of Psychodrama and Sociodrama from 2002 – 2008 and has written on matters related to her work and research. Her PhD research was into the impact of working therapeutically with clients who have experienced sexual trauma as adults or children. She has been chairperson of the British Psychodrama Association since September 2012.

The workshop is open to professionals working with children either as therapists or teachers, as well as to students  in relevant areas.

Cost: 280 euros (early subscription before 1st March cost is200 euros).

Special prices for students and trainees: 150 euros και 130 euros for early subscription.
